Project Description:
This project focuses on the different forms of violence in everyday life, possible forms of intervention and prevention. In this context, this seminar also deals with the question ofcivil courage. Strategies are being developed to reduce violence in everyday life in its various forms, ranging from direct physical violence in the context of disputes to hate posting on the Internet.
One of the most widespread forms of violence is bullying. So, a program for preventing violence has to deal with that topic too. We will discuss the structural requirements for preventing this severe kind of violence as well as as indications of phenomenon.
By doing an excursion to the memorial of the former concentration camp of Mauthausen we will bring in the topic of extreme political and ideological violence too. We will discuss possibilities of how to deal withracism and extremism of any kind, either political or religious.
Our teaching in the field of non-formal and informal education is done by means of arts. It's an intense way of involving people into a topic, so that the learning is done in a holistic manner.
