Project Description:
The TC will aim in the definition and common understanding of the mentoring role in the context of ESC volunteering projects, but also an exchange of expertise, investigating good practices, development of tools that will enhance the quality of ESC mentoring activities.
We shall work directly on elements concerning:
the wellbeing of the volunteers
understanding ESC and its vision
the emotional cycle of the volunteers
mentoring tools and skills
The project “Kingdom of Volunteering” will therefore include a Training Course (A1), a practice phase and a Seminar (A2) in Autumn, focused on offering an intensive learning and discovery experience in the mentoring process to actors affiliated with organization which already have at least ONE experience as international hosting organisations and will be confirmed with an activity agreement number.
“We would like to create a group with mixed experiences, combining beginner mentors with mentors who have dealt with different volunteers (in long-term but also short-term projects, as well as reinforced mentorship for youth with fewer opportunities), so as to create a rich pool of experiences to be shared and used as learning reference material.”
